Junior Planning Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Planning Specialist to join our innovative team at Corning. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to our mission of pushing the boundaries of what is possible in glass, ceramics, and materials science. As a Junior Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating production schedules and planning scenarios while ensuring effective utilization of available resources.

What You'll Do

• Create production schedules and planning scenarios considering efficient use of production resources (machines, personnel, components) and execute their implementation.
• Receive, create, and track the execution of production orders based on customer orders.
• Monitor and analyze KPI metrics to deliver set goals.
• Collaborate with Regional Supply Chain Management to optimize inventory and material flow, recommending solutions that support Supply Chain Management strategy.
• Work with various company teams (production, engineering, customer service) to deliver solutions for executing production plans for customer orders.
• Ensure the availability of finished products according to customer expectations, optimizing production efficiency and inventory levels.
• Manage component inventories and collaborate with suppliers.
• Implement agreed planning strategies and participate in process optimization projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (preferred: production management, logistics, supply chain management).
• Experience in a similar position.
• Good command of English.
• Excellent communication skills, meeting deadlines, and a proactive approach.
• Understanding of changing business needs and flexibility in adapting tasks as required, customer-focused, and goal-oriented.
• Familiarity with SAP system (preferred).

• Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
• Knowledge of production planning methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
