IT Services Financial & Software Licensing Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join our team as an IT Services Financial and Software Licensing Analyst in a remote capacity! This role is pivotal in managing the software license lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and optimizing costs across our IT budget. You will act as the Product Owner for ServiceNow Licensing modules, driving processes that lead to measurable savings and risk reduction.

What You'll Do

• Own the SAM/HAM product vision and roadmap, maintaining a prioritized backlog and release plan across platform sprints.
• Define and enforce processes and data standards for software license management, including discovery, normalization, and reconciliation.
• Build and maintain Effective License Position (ELP) by publisher/product, identifying compliance gaps and re-harvesting opportunities.
• Drive financial management activities including forecasting, budgeting, and chargeback models in collaboration with Finance.
• Run monthly license reconciliation cycles and lead vendor audits, ensuring compliance and accountability.
• Leverage automation tools like ServiceNow Flow Designer and APIs to enhance operational efficiency.
• Design executive dashboards to communicate IT spend insights to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and alignment with service commitments.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of experience in software license management with major vendors (Microsoft 365, Adobe, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
• Proven experience as a Product Owner for ServiceNow SAMPro/HAMPro.
• Strong knowledge of ELP, reconciliation, and audit defense.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills, with proficiency in Power BI and Excel.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Procurement, and IT.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI and automation tools.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 19770 SAM family and SOC 2 compliance.
