Industrial Engineer - Distribution Centers (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking two experienced Industrial Engineers to support multiple distribution center operations across the U.S. This Industrial Engineer remote position focuses on newly approved sites in Georgia and additional locations in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and New Jersey. This is a project-driven role that supports operational excellence, cost savings, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing 3PL network.

What You'll Do

• Conduct and execute time studies, labor standards development, and capacity modeling across multiple distribution centers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and RCCA methodologies.
• Analyze operational data and apply statistical process control to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
• Support new site launches and ramp-ups, including process design and workflow optimization.
• Partner with operations leadership to identify and deliver measurable cost savings.
• Travel independently between project sites, taking ownership of delegated initiatives.
• Clearly document and communicate project outcomes, results, and recommendations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Industrial Engineering experience within distribution centers, warehousing, or 3PL environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with time studies and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma – Green or Black Belt preferred).
• Proficiency in statistical process control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (4–5 years experience) or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (3+ years experience).
• Deep understanding of DC operations including picking, packing, packaging, and 3PL workflows.
• Ability to clearly explain prior projects and contributions with specific, real-world examples.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting Amazon or Amazon-style operations.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data modeling).
• Power BI experience.
• AutoCAD experience.

What We Offer

• Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 (based on technical interview performance).
• Annual Performance Bonus: ~$5,000.
• Annual Merit Increases based on individual and company performance.
• Relocation Assistance (Case-by-Case): Willing to relocate the right candidate.
• Typical range: $7K–$15K, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
• Opportunity to work from home when not traveling.
• Heavy travel is required, approximately 50–70%, especially during the initial weeks.
• A company credit card is provided for travel.
