HR Director - Public Sector (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Director - Public Sector to join Lumen Technologies in a fully remote capacity. As the HR Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the people and culture strategy for our Public Sector business unit, which serves the U.S. government and other critical infrastructure clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead HR initiatives in a complex, regulated environment while working closely with senior leaders to drive organizational effectiveness.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary people and culture advisor to SVP- and VP-level leaders within the Public Sector organization.
• Build strong relationships with leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness and team performance.
• Translate business strategy into actionable workforce plans, including talent needs and succession planning.
• Leverage workforce data and analytics to inform decision-making and anticipate future needs.
• Champion Lumen’s values and embed them into leadership practices and organizational norms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience in complex organizations.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness.
• Exceptional executive presence and influencing skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to business outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting regulated, compliance-driven, or government-adjacent organizations.
• Background coaching VP+ leaders through significant organizational change.
