About the Role

We're hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join Brace Health, a rapidly growing company on a mission to transform healthcare. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in building technology that ensures every patient gets the care they need and every doctor gets paid for their work. This Full-Stack Software Engineer position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a real impact on the healthcare landscape.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship across a full stack - from core backend services to the interfaces used by billing partners, clinic operators, and patients.
• Architect and own complex integrations with payers, clearinghouses, and EHR systems.
• Write Rust for high-performance, correctness-critical financial infrastructure; React/Remix for intuitive operational interfaces; and Python for AI/ML pipelines.
• Work across distributed systems, workflow automation, and data infrastructure in a regulated environment.
• Adopt emerging AI/ML technologies, utilizing tools like Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini.
• Help establish the engineering culture and technical foundation as one of our first engineers.

Requirements

• 2-8 years of engineering experience at a high-performing startup, big tech company, or as a founder.
• Full-stack capability, leaning toward backend - not a specialist in just mobile or web.
• Based in Boston or willing to relocate.
• Strong CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, systems design.
• Clear communication skills to drive design reviews and explain decisions to non-engineers.
• High ownership and agency - you see what needs to happen and make it happen.
