What You'll Do

  • Oversee the preparation, quality, and presentation of dishes, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and stock levels of products and goods.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of kitchen tools and equipment in accordance with hygiene regulations (HACCP).
  • Supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing your culinary expertise.
  • Work flexible hours, including night shifts, to meet the demands of our busy kitchen.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management.
  • Familiarity with HACCP standards and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide the kitchen team.
  • Creativity and a passion for culinary arts, with a desire to innovate and improve.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer tools for inventory and kitchen management.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
