Financial Officer - Remote Opportunity at UCLouvain

About the Role

UCLouvain is seeking a Financial Officer for a remote opportunity to support the Earth and Life Institute (ELI). As a Financial Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and logistics, ensuring compliance with financial regulations while working closely with various research teams.

What You'll Do

• Assist faculty and researchers in managing and monitoring financial accounts and agreements, including cost forecasting and compliance with deadlines.
• Analyze and control assigned accounts, providing regular updates to stakeholders on budget adherence and financial reporting.
• Perform logistical and accounting operations using SAP, including order processing, goods receipt, and client invoice management.
• Collaborate with central administration to ensure adherence to financial management standards.
• Maintain effective communication with research teams to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with experience in financial management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English (B1 level preferred).
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Experience with SAP software is a plus.
