Senior Software Engineer - ReactJS & Python (Logistics)

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Software Engineer - ReactJS & Python (Logistics) to help shape the future of local delivery. This remote position offers you the chance to work with a pioneering local delivery platform that operates in around 65 countries worldwide. As part of the Optimal Choice squad, you will be instrumental in migrating our back-office tool to a more secure system while redesigning the application to enhance user experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead the migration of our existing back-office tools into the new Ops Portal, eliminating technical debt and implementing modern design specifications.
• Build from scratch using modern React and updated libraries to create a high-performance analytical tool for internal users.
• Ensure seamless integration with our Python-based microservice, performing necessary adjustments for successful data flow.
• Collaborate closely with frontend specialists to elevate the team’s frontend ecosystem and mentor other engineers on best practices.
• Take full ownership of features from initial specification and system design to deployment and production monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on frontend technologies.
• Expertise in modern React (Hooks, Context, State management) and a solid understanding of Python backends.
• Proficient in writing efficient SQL queries and debugging backend systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to delivering functionality with minimal bugs.
• Experience in writing robust unit and integration tests to prevent regressions.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI tools and how to leverage them in development.
• Experience in component-driven architecture and system design discussions.
• Knowledge of logistics and delivery systems.
