Finance Operations Data Analyst - Remote Position
About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Operations Data Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery and optimization of financial data processes utilized by our accounting teams. As a Finance Operations Data Analyst, you will focus on analyzing operational financial data, building data transformations, and developing reporting that enhances accounting efficiency and financial process visibility.
What You'll Do
- Source and prepare financial data essential for accounting processes.
- Build and maintain SQL queries and data transformations that support financial bookings.
- Validate and reconcile data delivered to accounting teams.
- Collaborate closely with accountants to understand their data needs and process challenges.
- Assist in the delivery of datasets required for financial postings and reconciliations.
- Develop reporting that supports financial operations, including credit control reporting and operational revenue reporting.
- Monitor data quality in financial datasets and identify discrepancies between operational systems and finance data.
- Work with Data Engineering to implement scalable data pipelines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Finance, Data Analytics, or Finance Systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting processes, including close cycles and revenue recognition.
- Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
- Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Detail-oriented with high data accuracy standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Analytics related field.
- Fluent in English.
