About the Role

Checkr is seeking an Engineering Manager for Growth Team to lead our innovative growth initiatives. This Engineering Manager remote position allows you to drive impactful projects that enhance our self-serve business model. You will be at the forefront of our mission to ensure safety and compliance while building trusted workplaces and communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a talented team focused on growth initiatives, including improving customer conversions and onboarding experiences.
  • Drive technical vision and motivate the team to achieve company objectives.
  • Collaborate with product management to develop new features and enhance existing ones.
  • Reduce technical debt and sustainably scale our architecture.
  • Foster relationships with cross-functional teams to drive results.
  • Mentor team members and support their career aspirations.
  • Optimize engineering processes to enhance velocity and quality.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager and 8+ years as an engineer.
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience managing quality incidents and working on products at scale.
  • Strong understanding of TDD, agile methodologies, and service architecture.
  • Able to make high-level prioritization decisions quickly and thoughtfully.
  • Ability to develop inclusive teams and foster diversity.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.

  • Experience with cloud technologies and data compliance.
  • Familiarity with remote work tools and practices.
