Engineering Design Specialist - Remote Contract Position

About the Role

We are hiring an Engineering Design Specialist remote to join our team for a unique contract opportunity. This position allows you to work fully remotely, leveraging your engineering expertise to tackle advanced, simulation-based design challenges that support cutting-edge technology initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop simulation-based engineering problems with clear constraints and performance goals.
• Create detailed problem sets including solutions, edge cases, and variations.
• Validate engineering designs using physics-based simulation tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and improve design challenges.
• Ensure accuracy across calculations, assumptions, and real-world feasibility.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
• 3+ years of hands-on engineering design experience (not just analysis).
• Experience working with simulation tools (open-source preferred).
• Strong programming skills (Python or similar).
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.

Nice to Have

• Experience creating engineering problems, coursework, or technical assessments.
• Exposure to AI/ML, simulation workflows, or automation frameworks.
• Cross-domain engineering knowledge.
