Director of Organic Growth - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and high-ownership Director of Organic Growth to lead QuillBot’s organic acquisition engine across all major discovery surfaces. This remote role goes beyond traditional SEO, encompassing the full spectrum of organic growth strategies, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), App Store Optimization (ASO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Extension Store visibility.
What You'll Do
- Organic Growth Strategy: Define and own the overarching organic growth strategy spanning SEO, ASO, GEO, and Extension Store optimization. Set quarterly and annual OKRs tied to impressions, clicks, MAU, installs, and sales.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the SEO & Organic Growth team, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
- Roadmap Ownership: Build and maintain a prioritized organic growth roadmap, balancing quick wins with longer-term strategic initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with AI, Product, Engineering, Content, Brand, and Marketing Operations teams to embed organic growth into product launches and site architecture decisions.
- SEO Program Ownership: Own end-to-end SEO performance across QuillBot’s web properties, driving strategy across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Technical SEO: Lead technical audits and partner with Engineering to resolve issues related to crawlability, indexation, and site speed.
- Content & Keyword Strategy: Oversee keyword research and collaborate with the Content team to ensure every page is strategically targeted.
- Link Building & Authority: Direct link-building and digital PR strategies to grow domain authority.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in SEO and/or organic growth, with at least 3 years in a people-management role.
- Demonstrated success managing organic growth for a high-traffic website with over 20 million monthly active users.
- Proven track record of securing and defending #1 positions for competitive keywords.
- Deep expertise across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Hands-on experience with ASO for iOS and/or Android apps.
- Strong understanding of the generative AI search landscape and emerging GEO best practices.
