Biohub is seeking a Director of Engineering for Molecular Measurement Technologies to lead innovative projects in the field of AI and biology. This remote Director of Engineering position offers a unique opportunity to drive advancements in molecular measurement technologies that can significantly impact human health.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and deployment of integrated automation systems for high-throughput experimentation across functional genomics and multi-omics profiling.
• Oversee the development and integration of advanced robotic systems for liquid handling and assay execution.
• Manage strategic relationships with automation vendors and instrument manufacturers to ensure best-in-class technology integration.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of automation engineers and platform scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Architect platforms that enable complex biological protocols at scale, ensuring tight integration between workflows and data systems.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in building life science technology platforms, particularly in biotech or pharma.
• Demonstrated leadership in functional genomics or organoid systems.
• Deep expertise in laboratory automation and robotics.
• Proven experience deploying scalable biological platforms and managing vendor relationships.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CRISPR screening platforms or large-scale screening systems.
• Background in organoid automation or complex tissue models.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in biotech environments.
