DevSecOps Engineer (Ansible/​Terraform) - Remote

About the Role

Valiant Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (Ansible/Terraform) remote to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team! If you have experience in IT security and a strong background in DevOps, writing Ansible Playbooks, and Terraform scripts, this is your opportunity to join a busy Security Engineering team delivering cutting-edge solutions to a fantastic Government client.

What You'll Do

• Write Ansible and Terraform scripts to expand and automate a large Elastic Stack implementation.
• Scripting in Python or Ruby to automate tool integration and processes.
• Automate the development of security controls, including firewall rules and IPS policy.
• Automate new integration with the Elastic Stack SOAR automation.
• Develop custom enhancements to COTS tools to improve their functionality and enrich data.
• Automate server configuration for security, including logging, key changes, and system hardening.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and environments.
• Automate the implementation of security controls in Amazon Web Services (AWS) via the AWS API.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, or at least 8 years of IT experience without a degree.
• 6+ years of development experience, including full-time development on Linux/UNIX platforms using bash scripting, Python, or Ruby.
• 3+ years of Ansible and Terraform experience, including developing Ansible Playbooks and writing Terraform code.
• 4+ years of AWS experience with significant AWS API automation.
• 2+ years of Jenkins (or similar CI/CD) experience, with advanced-level Jenkins experience.
• 2+ years of Ruby Development experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SIEM integration and technology mechanisms for information systems security.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX server operating systems.
• Networking engineering experience (Routing & Switching) with static routing, EIGRP, and OSPF protocols.
• Experience with source code management tools like Git and GitHub.
• 2+ years of Elastic Stack experience.
