Data Engineer I - Demography & Location Intelligence (Remote)

We're hiring a Data Engineer I - Demography & Location Intelligence to join our innovative team at Precisely. What You'll Do

• Design data processing pipelines to handle large and complex datasets.
• Create visualizations and reports to communicate Data product insights.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Test and debug data to maintain high-quality standards.
• Stay updated with Location Intelligence research and technological trends.
• Optimize software performance and scalability.
• Document code and development processes clearly.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience with Python or Geographic Information System (GIS).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Geospatial/ Geography/ Computer Science/ Statistics.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is a must.
• Experience with database management and data querying (SQL).
• Strong understanding of Location and GIS based data.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Tableau).
• Experience in Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure etc.
• Excellent knowledge of database concepts and complex query writing.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Geo-spatial domain and how geospatial data is stored in databases is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and active listening.
