Cyber Security Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. This Cyber Security Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the mission of the U.S. Cyber Command while working from the comfort of your home. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the principal technical authority and lead specialist for customer computing requirements.
• Prepare and present analyses and briefings to DoD and DISA management on new technological developments.
• Provide expert technical guidance on information security policies and practices.
• Define and validate the need for proposed new or improved systems through consultation with program officials.
• Act as the primary liaison or project manager with internal and external customers on IT development matters.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Experience in reviewing IT-related work for accuracy and completeness.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain relationships with clients.
• Excellent oral communication skills for briefing management and IT staff.
• Problem-solving skills to address complex IT-related issues.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud solutions and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Familiarity with the Cyber Excepted Service personnel system.
• Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures.
