Cyber Defense Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are hiring a Cyber Defense Engineer to join our team at Randstad Mexico. This remote Cyber Defense Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the cybersecurity field. You will play a crucial role in analyzing cybersecurity alerts and leading investigations to ensure the security of our systems.

What You'll Do

• Perform thorough analysis of cybersecurity alerts, leading investigations and ensuring resolution of security incidents.
• Utilize advanced tools such as EDR, SIEM, and SOAR for security investigations.
• Maintain communication with outsourced staff and external segments of the cyber defense center.
• Support local IT and ISOs by addressing security issues and translating information into actionable tasks.
• Engage in ongoing improvement by analyzing incidents and suggesting new playbooks.
• Assist in vulnerability management and threat intelligence operations.
• Collaborate with the continuous improvement lead to enhance threat detection capabilities.
• Join forces with the CSIRT during critical security incidents to ensure a secure environment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat landscape.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR tools for monitoring security events.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and traffic analysis.
• Clear communication skills for reporting incidents and interacting with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and scripting languages like Python is a plus.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and under pressure.
• Proficient in English.

Nice to Have

• CISSP or similar certification.
• Experience in an international environment.
