About the Role

We are looking for a Cyber Data Protection Consultant - Remote to join our Deloitte Cyber team. In this role, you will help organizations navigate the complexities of cybersecurity, ensuring they can operate with resilience and confidence. As a Cyber Data Protection Consultant, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing data protection strategies that align with our clients' strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, assisting clients in evaluating strategic and practical data protection and encryption requirements based on emerging data risks.
  • Advise on best practices for data encryption, decryption, and secure key management.
  • Design, implement, and operate technology and process solutions to reduce data risks across various environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Manage the deployment and lifecycle of PKI systems, ensuring robust and scalable certificate management processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of certificate infrastructures to prevent downtime and security breaches.
  • Develop requirements, evaluate vendor solutions, and architect data protection solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Drive day-to-day execution of client engagements, providing leadership and support to delivery teams while tracking project timelines.
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership by evaluating new tools and solutions to enhance data security and staying updated on emerging encryption technologies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in data protection and information security.
  • 1+ years managing encryption technologies with a solid understanding of cloud encryption concepts.
  • 1+ years of experience in developing data protection strategies and frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity or data protection (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in data protection and cryptography.
