Cloud Engineer - GCP Migration (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team for a remote position focused on GCP migration within a fast-growing FinTech company. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering a large-scale migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while working alongside a hands-on cloud delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical transformation program.

What You'll Do

• Deliver cloud and application migrations to GCP, ensuring seamless transitions.
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, and security teams to ensure best practices.
• Support development, testing, and production environments, maintaining reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience with Terraform in production environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes and GKE on live environments.
• Background in cloud migration or platform modernization projects.
• Solid understanding of networking and Linux systems.
• Experience working in fast-paced, delivery-focused teams.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Cloud Build).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Exposure to GCP IAM and security practices.
• Experience in a FinTech or regulated environment.
