Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our private equity-backed healthcare technology company. This remote CTO position is pivotal as we embark on a transformative journey to modernize our platform and drive product innovation. As the CTO, you will lead a distributed technology organization, ensuring we meet current operational demands while strategically positioning for future growth.

What You'll Do

• Define and execute the technology and product roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Lead engineering, IT, and related technical functions to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Drive operational excellence, focusing on delivery velocity, system performance, and team effectiveness.
• Oversee technology budgeting, vendor strategy, and resource planning to optimize operations.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity within a regulated environment.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team.
• Partner cross-functionally to enhance product capabilities and improve customer experience.
• Support executive-level discussions related to growth strategy and long-term positioning.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a CTO, VP, or SVP of Technology/Engineering.
• Background in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, or enterprise software.
• Proven success in leading platform modernization and/or cloud transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing hybrid teams, including onshore, offshore, and vendors.
• Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting and resource optimization.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging executives, investors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI and automation.
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments.
• Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
