Associate Director, Total Rewards - Remote Position
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Director, Total Rewards to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on all aspects of Total Rewards, including compensation strategy, pay decisions, and program design. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the Total Rewards strategy at RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on all aspects of Total Rewards, including compensation strategy, pay decisions, and program design.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation and/or benefits programs aligned to business strategy and market competitiveness.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistent application of pay practices, governance, and policies across the organization.
- Conduct and interpret market analyses to inform pay positioning, structure design, and competitive strategy.
- Support annual compensation processes and provide guidance on complex or sensitive pay decisions.
- Drive initiatives to optimize workforce affordability, including labor mix, pay progression, and cost management strategies.
- Translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Lead or contribute to enterprise-wide Total Rewards projects, including system enhancements, process improvements, and new program development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal governance standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering strong technical expertise and business acumen.
Requirements
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years experience.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards or related disciplines with increasing scope and impact.
- Experience managing or leading large-scale compensation programs or initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with executive compensation and/or incentive design.
- Experience with data visualization tools or compensation modeling.
