Staff Platform/​DevOps Engineer - B2B Software

About the Role

We're looking for a Staff Platform/DevOps Engineer remote to join forces with our DevOps Lead and elevate our platform's delivery, automation, and observability across diverse deployment environments. We build B2B software for industrial customers where reliability, traceability, and maintainability are crucial throughout the full lifecycle. As a Staff Platform/DevOps Engineer remote, you'll collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and operate the pipelines, runtimes, and tooling that connect development to production.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Shorten feedback cycles, ensure reproducibility, and codify rollback policies.
• Ensure the full software lifecycle—from development to operations—is supported with automation, validation, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Standardize repository topology, environment promotion, and secrets/drift handling.
• Operate and improve the runtime stack, implementing rollout strategies like blue/green, canary, and feature flags.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed logging and metrics by default across services and environments.
• Own Fluentd, Loki, and Grafana to deliver structured logs, meaningful metrics, tuned alerting, and actionable SLOs.
• Drive and support platform evolution by evaluating and adopting modern DevOps practices and tools.

Requirements

• Solid experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of how pipelines support the entire lifecycle—from local development to production operations.
• Familiarity with GitOps maturity, repo layouts, promotion models, and secrets management.
• Experience with Kubernetes and service discovery/management.
• Deep understanding of observability—logs, metrics, and traces.
• Management and hands-on experience running Fluentd, Loki, and Grafana.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash.
• Proficient in Linux-based environments, containers, and core networking.

Nice To Have

• Experience with air-gapped delivery and cloud exposure (especially Azure or GCP).
• Familiarity with modern or emerging infra/deployment tools like Pulumi.
• Exposure to MLOps or data-heavy pipelines.
