Welding Engineer - Automotive Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our team at ACPS Automotive, a leading automotive manufacturer in Hungary. This Welding Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to producing high-quality automotive components for renowned brands like VW, Tesla, and BMW.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain welding documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Review welding power sources and recommend improvements.
• Conduct manufacturability reviews for new products and develop welding processes.
• Lead projects aimed at increasing production efficiency and reducing waste.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to welding processes and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate the introduction of new procedures and manage technological transitions.
• Actively participate in complaint management and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics).
• Welding engineering qualification (IWE/EWE).
• 1-3 years of experience in the welding field.
• Knowledge of MIG/MAG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
• Experience in steel welding.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the automotive industry (ISO TS, IATF).
• Experience in high-volume production.
• Familiarity with robotic welding.
