Web Developer - Logistics Technology (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our Technology & Operations team. This Web Developer remote position is instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise web applications that support our core business and operational functions. Your work will involve creating innovative web solutions, automating processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

What You'll Do

• Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services that align with business and operational objectives, ensuring high performance and adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with team leads and colleagues to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of features and functionalities.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure consistency and quality in the visual and functional aspects of web applications.
• Document technical specifications, user stories, and project updates for ongoing reference and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in code reviews, system testing, and troubleshooting to maintain the stability and security of applications.
• Engage with yard staff, operations teams, and finance departments to understand their workflows and develop tailored software solutions.
• Contribute to automation initiatives, leveraging AI and OCR technologies to streamline logistics processes and improve accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience, with proficiency in React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP frameworks, and related technologies.
• Experience working with databases, version control systems such as Git or SVN, and web servers like Apache or Nginx.
• Strong problem-solving skills within operational environments and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Fundamental knowledge of UI/UX best practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai or Oman post-probation, with adaptability to Middle Eastern work environments and onsite collaboration with depot and yard teams.
