Cloud Engineer - Remote Position for Data Science Teams

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join our Data Science and Engineering teams in a remote capacity. As a Cloud Engineer, you will support the automation of CI/CD pipelines and manage multi-cloud infrastructure for machine learning production. This role is crucial in developing reusable, configuration-driven frameworks to enhance data pipelines while collaborating within a diverse DevOps culture to evolve enterprise-scale big data applications.

What You'll Do

• Automate deployment and integration tasks (CI/CD) to drive cloud infrastructure management and automation.
• Support Data Engineering and Data Science teams with application development support, primarily using Java and Python.
• Build ML integrations and deployment automation pipelines, working closely with Data Scientists to bring models into production.
• Evaluate new tools and approaches to continuously evolve the team's DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams to build out Agentic Frameworks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing in an Object-Oriented Programming language (Java preferred).
• 3+ years of experience developing in Python, focusing on Object-Oriented coding.
• Familiarity with specialized scripting/SDKs related to data management (e.g., Boto3, PySpark).
• 2+ years working in Public Cloud environments (AWS or GCP required).
• Strong familiarity with GCP environment and Linux systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization frameworks (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Practical experience setting up build pipelines and working with GIT.
• Experience with REST web-services frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Flask, Rails).
