Studio QA Director - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Studio QA Director to join Escape Velocity Entertainment in a fully remote capacity. As the Studio QA Director, you will lead the quality assurance strategy for our ambitious competitive, real-time multiplayer titles. This role is pivotal in ensuring our quality standards are met across multiple platforms, including PC, console, and mobile.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and elevate the quality assurance processes for our live service games, ensuring a seamless experience for players.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align QA strategies with development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage the QA budget and resource allocation, making strategic decisions regarding external test partnerships.
• Direct and mentor the Associate QA Director, fostering their growth as a leader within the studio.
• Implement advanced testing methodologies, including AI-driven strategies, to enhance our QA processes.

Requirements

• Extensive leadership experience in game development QA, particularly with large-scale, cross-platform live service games.
• Proven track record of managing and mentoring senior QA staff and overseeing distributed testing teams.
• Expertise in live service release management and testing client features alongside backend services.
• Strong knowledge of modern QA tools, including JIRA, UE4/UE5, and Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills to advocate for quality at the executive level.

• Knowledge of bug/defect tracking systems.
