Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst remote to join our team at The Planet Group. This position is pivotal in shaping and scaling a modern cloud-based data platform, ensuring data reliability and accessibility aligned with business priorities.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a bridge between business needs and data solutions, translating requirements into scalable BI and data warehouse designs.
• Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to build and enhance enterprise data models and reporting layers.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/data pipelines across multiple data sources and formats.
• Own data quality and integrity by proactively identifying issues and driving improvements across systems.
• Build and deliver dashboards, reports, and key metrics to support decision-making across the organization.
• Optimize database performance, including query tuning and system efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to prioritize enhancements and resolve issues.
• Support production environments by troubleshooting data issues and minimizing disruptions.
• Contribute to data governance practices, standards, and overall data strategy.
• Lead or support compliance efforts (e.g., SOX, HIPAA) and audit readiness.
• Manage and deliver multiple data and BI initiatives in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working with data warehouses, data modeling, and BI solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines and working with modern data platforms.
• Experience working with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality and system optimization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, etc.).
• Exposure to Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Relevant certifications in cloud or BI technologies.
