About the Role

Join Northrop Grumman as a Manager, Systems Engineering - Test Equipment for Space Technologies in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of engineers working on revolutionary systems that impact lives worldwide. What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of approximately 10 engineers within the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) organization.
  • Oversee the design, assembly, integration, and testing of Support Test Equipment (STE) and simulators.
  • Balance functional oversight with technical program work, dedicating about 15% of your time to management and 85% to technical contributions.
  • Conduct staffing, employee development, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
  • Engage in electrical/mechanical engineering tasks and lead integration and test efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance is required.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership or functional management role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering process.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in engineering.
  • Experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic, or technical capacity.
  • Familiarity with advanced sensor systems, such as RADAR, EO/IR, and Passive RF payloads.
  • Experience with Space Payloads and/or Space Vehicles.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
