About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing - Cement (Remote) to lead our manufacturing operations across North America. This role is pivotal in ensuring our cement manufacturing processes achieve world-class standards in safety, production reliability, and environmental stewardship. You will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Promote and enforce plant safety guidelines across all operations.
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities, performance standards, and goals for direct reports.
  • Champion a world-class safety culture, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Provide strategic leadership for all cement plants in the region, aligning operations with corporate goals.
  • Drive operational reliability through proactive maintenance strategies and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Oversee production planning, inventory management, and coordination with Supply Chain teams to meet customer demand.
  • Partner with Finance to develop and manage annual budgets and long-range operational forecasts.
  • Conduct ongoing operational reviews to ensure performance consistency and rapid issue resolution.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role within cement manufacturing.
  • Proven success in P&L oversight, budget management, and operational transformation.
  • Experience leading multiple large-scale facilities across broad geographic regions.
  • Strong ability to coach high-performing teams and build succession pipelines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and AI tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the cement industry.
  • Previous involvement in community engagement initiatives.
