About the Role
We are excited to offer a Unity Developer Internship - Remote opportunity at WattWeiser. This internship focuses on exploring the feasibility of Web-BIM in Unity 6, aiming to create a navigable browser experience with BIM models, live material/wall variant switching, and integrating AI-supported interiors. As a Unity Developer Intern, you will build the Unity Web-Viewer as tech spikes, providing you with hands-on experience in a cutting-edge field.
What You'll Do
- Explore pipeline: evaluate IFC to glTF/Runtime.
- Test variant logic for walls/material presets.
- Conduct performance tests and profiling to ensure optimal functionality.
- Analyze target groups without client testing to gather insights.
- Prepare optional paths for multi-user feasibility and VR routes.
Requirements
- Enrolled student in relevant fields.
- Solid knowledge of Unity/C# (1-2 years experience).
- Basic understanding of 3D concepts.
- Nice to have: BIM/IFC basics, Revit export, Speckle, glTFast.
- Ability to use AI tools like ChatGPT effectively.
- German language proficiency (min. B2) and English for technical resources.
Nice to Have
- Experience with collaborative tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with VR development.
- Interest in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sectors.
