About the Role
We are seeking a talented Hydraulic Designer to join our team remotely. As a Hydraulic Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of urban infrastructure projects, focusing on hydraulic systems and environmental sustainability.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed plans and measurements for stormwater networks, including pipes and ditches, as well as related structures such as basins and restoration works.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure the successful execution of urban and interurban infrastructure projects.
- Produce 2D and 3D designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with design standards and constraints.
- Calculate earthworks and perform quantity take-offs for project estimations.
- Contribute to the restoration and protection of waterways, ensuring ecological continuity and environmental protection.
- Work on local, national, and international projects under the guidance of a project manager.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Covadis, and Mensura for design and cost estimation.
- Apply GIS data knowledge using software like ArcGIS/QGIS to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulic infrastructure design, preferably in an engineering office.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Covadis, Mensura) for 3D design and estimation.
- Familiarity with GIS data and tools (ArcGIS/QGIS) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of InfraWorks or equivalent for landscape modeling.
- Strong teamwork skills and a keen interest in hydraulic design and environmental protection.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ecological restoration projects.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
