About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Café Team Leader to join our luxury hospitality team at Oak View Group. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead our café operations at 8 Bishopsgate, a vibrant venue known for its exceptional dining experiences. As a Café Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily operations across two café bars, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
• Train and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring the café is well-stocked and organized.
• Collaborate with the Café Manager to implement new initiatives and improve service delivery.
• Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Support event catering and special functions as required, showcasing our culinary offerings.
• Contribute to the overall success of the café by driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Barista or Team Leader in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine love for food and drink.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
• Experience in training and developing team members.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice to Have

• Barista certification or relevant hospitality qualifications.
• Experience in event catering or large-scale food service operations.
• Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
