Technical Lead - Wealth Management Platform (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Technical Lead for our Wealth Management Platform at Anchorage Digital. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital asset management while working remotely. As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the architecture and technical direction of our Wealth & Assets Management team.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of high-quality software solutions that support financial advisors and their clients.
• Design and develop APIs and automation tools for critical business areas, ensuring seamless custody of assets and trading systems.
• Drive the technical strategy of the team, balancing progress and perfection in project execution.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment and sharing knowledge across the Wealth engineering team.
• Review and improve code quality, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and other engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of Wealth systems.
• Influence the product roadmap and architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience building backend services.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale, complex projects at an architectural level.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend technologies, with a preference for Go.
• Experience with API design and implementation, particularly GraphQL and gRPC.
• Ability to prioritize end-user experience and business value over technical complexity.
• Familiarity with computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and mentor others.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the finance industry, specifically in Wealth Management.
• Knowledge of modern testing practices and minimizing technical debt.
