Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Autonomous Flight Systems

We’re hiring a Software Quality Assurance Engineer remote to join a pioneering advanced mobility company developing autonomous aerial systems and next-generation eVTOL aircraft. In this high-impact role, your work will directly support flight safety, regulatory approval, and the successful deployment of autonomous aviation systems.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor software lifecycle processes against DO-178C and internal standards.
• Conduct audits and reviews of development, verification, and lifecycle data.
• Ensure compliance of requirements, design, code, and verification artifacts.
• Oversee configuration management and change control processes.
• Support internal and external certification audits and regulatory assessments.
• Identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions to improve quality and readiness.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software QA, process assurance, or certification compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of DO-178C and related standards (DO-331, DO-330, ARP4754A, etc.).
• Experience in aerospace or avionics.
• Familiarity with configuration management, traceability, and tools (e.g., Jira, Polarion, Git).
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent documentation and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of safety-critical software development processes.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
