They’re building a next-generation developer platform in the observability space, tackling massive-scale data challenges and redefining how engineering teams interact with telemetry, cost, and performance. Now, they’re looking for a Staff Backend Product Engineer to take ownership of one of the most critical areas of the business: turning product usage into revenue.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and scale usage-based billing systems (accuracy is everything).
• Design distributed backend systems in Golang (Java a plus).
• Own reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of data infrastructure.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Work closely with product to shape how usage translates into customer value.

Requirements

• Strong experience building distributed backend systems (Go-first).
• Exposure to billing, metering, or usage-based pricing models (big plus).
• Product mindset — you care about why, not just how.
• Comfortable operating at Staff level (high ownership, high ambiguity).
• Bonus: Observability / OpenTelemetry experience.
