Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our innovative team at TurbineOne. As an SDET, you'll focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Frontline Perception System, an edge-first software platform designed for challenging tactical environments. What You'll Do

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks for various environments.
• Develop integration, regression, and performance test suites to ensure software quality.
• Own validation processes for diverse deployments, ensuring system reliability.
• Build CI/CD testing pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Create validation scripts and health checks to monitor system performance.
• Simulate constrained environments for testing resilience and robustness.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to prevent defects and improve product quality.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level issues and provide effective solutions.
• Document test strategies and deployment procedures to maintain clarity and consistency.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies to enhance overall software quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or SDET roles.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
• Experience with on-premise and enterprise deployments.
• Understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with performance testing of distributed systems.
• Excellent debugging skills across full-stack systems.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• A preferred degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience in DefenseTech or related industries.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
