About the Role
We are seeking a talented Software Architect & Tech Lead to join our innovative team at Delcon. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in Europe while collaborating closely with teams in Italy and the United States. You will play a crucial role in defining, building, and leading the technical architecture of Delcon's digital products, primarily DelcoNet, our flagship platform for blood centers and transfusion organizations.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve the overall technical architecture of DelcoNet, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Translate product requirements from the Product Manager into concrete technical solutions, balancing speed, quality, and sustainability.
- Define and enforce engineering standards, coding best practices, and development processes across the team.
- Make key architectural decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead the development and technical evolution of DelcoNet, including designing integrations with external systems.
- Actively engage in hands-on software development alongside architectural design and partner coordination.
- Mentor internal developers, providing clear technical direction and supporting professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and VP of Products, acting as the primary technical voice in product discussions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or software architect role.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade software platforms from architecture through production.
- Experience managing or mentoring developers and coordinating with external vendors.
- Strong command of C# and ASP.NET, with solid experience in Web API / REST service design.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI agent frameworks or automation tools.
- Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira or Notion.
