Senior Power BI Developer Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Power BI Developer Lead to join our dynamic team remotely. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of scalable reporting solutions while enhancing the BI maturity of a major enterprise environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of high-performance Power BI dashboards, reports, and complex data models.
• Own the Power BI Service environment, managing workspaces, deployment pipelines, and governance standards.
• Implement robust security protocols including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Azure AD integration.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize pipelines using Azure Databricks and ensure adherence to star schema best practices.
• Act as a technical mentor, coaching existing teams to embed best practices in DAX optimization and report design.
• Engage directly with C-suite stakeholders to drive a data-first culture and present technical insights effectively.
• Manage Power BI governance, including lifecycle management and DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Lead Power BI Developer role with a track record of delivering enterprise-level reporting solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX and SQL, with a deep understanding of performance optimization and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure data stack, specifically Databricks and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / Navision.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present technical insights to C-suite and senior leadership.
• Experience managing Power BI governance, including lifecycle management and DevOps practices.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers.
• Knowledge of additional BI tools and platforms.
