Senior Systems Engineer - GNC Focus (Remote Available)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer - Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) to join our team. This remote Senior Systems Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced missile systems that are critical to national security. You will be at the forefront of technology, working on projects that enhance missile performance and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight software to ensure system robustness and performance.
• Conduct system-level performance studies and analyses to support capability development, refinement, and obsolescence management.
• Lead development activities within an agile framework, including backlog management, planning, and metrics tracking.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Support missile performance analysis through model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo simulations considering expected operational disturbances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, evaluate design trade-offs, and ensure integration compliance.
• Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and documentation to support program milestones and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in guidance, navigation, and control systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in missile system applications, including experience with digital and modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo analysis, and physical system simulation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, and C++.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and experience with signal processing algorithms.
• Ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance before starting.
• Leadership experience in managing technical teams or projects is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders.
