Social Media Manager - B2B Focus (Remote)
About the Role
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to join our dynamic team at Lehmanns Media. In this remote position, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our digital presence and delivering expert content to the right audiences. As a Social Media Manager, you will develop and implement strategies that enhance our brand perception in the B2B sector while ensuring data-driven optimization for sustainable success.
What You'll Do
- Take full responsibility for all social media channels, including building, managing, and continuously improving our social media activities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy focused on effectively reaching our target audiences.
- Plan, create, and publish audience-specific content in various formats, including text, images, and videos.
- Manage and enhance our social media channels such as LinkedIn, XING, and Instagram, particularly targeting students.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and derive data-driven actions to optimize social media performance.
- Collaborate closely with Thalia's social media colleagues and teams from marketing, sales, and editorial.
- Engage in community management by fostering active dialogue with our community and strengthening relationships with our target audience.
- Continuously monitor current trends and competitors in social media and professional information, generating new insights from your findings.
Requirements
- A completed degree in Marketing, Communication, Media, or a comparable qualification that provides a solid foundation.
- Several years of experience in social media management, ideally in a B2B or professional information context, with a keen sense for relevant topics.
- Experience in addressing diverse target groups in both B2B and B2C sectors, along with a good understanding of impactful content.
- A strong sense for audience-appropriate content and compelling advertising texts that capture attention and remain memorable.
- Proficiency in common social media and analytics tools, with an eye for data-driven optimization.
- Skills in Canva are a plus.
- Experience in image and video editing or a willingness to develop in this area.
- Creativity, initiative, and a structured working style, combined with excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience with emerging social media trends and tools.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies.
