Learning Designer - Remote Position at Coursera

About the Role

We are hiring a Learning Designer to join our team at Coursera. This is a full-time remote position based in India, where you will play a vital role in designing and developing innovative learning experiences. As a Learning Designer, you will collaborate with subject-matter experts and production vendors to create high-quality, scalable online content that meets the needs of learners and partners.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of Coursera-produced learning experiences, focusing on modular and skill-aligned design.
• Translate SME expertise into vendor-ready design deliverables, including learning outcomes and assessment specifications.
• Leverage replicable design systems and templates to ensure consistent production across various vendors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design practices and continuously improve learning experiences.
• Prototype new learning designs and assist in developing AI-assisted design tools to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Education, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in instructional/learning design or curriculum development.
• Experience working with SMEs and external vendors to translate designs into production deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience with modular course design and assessment.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools for learning design and content production.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with Coursera’s platform and learning analytics.
• Experience with authoring tools such as Figma or Articulate Storyline.
• Basic data fluency and familiarity with learning analytics tools.
• Experience communicating with external partners to gather requirements and influence design decisions.
