Senior Unity Game Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Unity Game Developer to join our dynamic team at Nerd Ninjas. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative gaming projects across mobile, desktop, and mixed reality platforms. As a Senior Unity Game Developer, you will play a crucial role in crafting seamless and engaging user experiences, ensuring that our players enjoy intuitive and rewarding interactions with our games.

What You'll Do

• Translate design specifications into functional game mechanics that enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate with team members to establish effective pipelines and integrate media assets.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Unity.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to address and mitigate these issues.
• Maintain code quality, cleanliness, and organization throughout the development process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing games in a team environment.
• Excellent knowledge of C#, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience with mobile game development, PC game development, and 3D game development.
• Ability to implement UI designs effectively.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and current design patterns.
• Familiarity with game physics and particle systems.
• Proficient knowledge of Git for version control.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work remotely during core hours (M-F: 9:00am - 5pm Pacific Time).

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular CLI.
• Experience optimizing memory and space usage for better performance.
• Knowledge of automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Experience with analytics and crash reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with Dependency Injection Frameworks and VR/AR technologies.
