Shunter Driver - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Shunter Driver to join our team at FedEx, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics services. This Shunter Driver position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding service to our customers.

What You'll Do

• Execute shunting operations while adhering to all relevant safety regulations, including moving transport containers (swap bodies, trailers, air freight containers) from gates and ramps.
• Park containers in designated areas and position them at loading docks and ramps as required.
• Coordinate and organize container movements on the company premises to ensure timely operations.
• Check the functionality of vehicles and containers, including verifying the validity of technical inspection seals.
• Report any damages or non-operational transport equipment as per inspection guidelines.
• Comply with all relevant regulations, processes, and legal requirements, such as safety regulations and operational guidelines.
• Utilize provided technical tools effectively and communicate with team members and all adjacent interfaces.
• Support the warehouse process while adhering to relevant safety and load securing regulations.

Requirements

• Completed training or comparable professional experience.
• Class CE driver's license is required.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the handling area of a KEP service provider is advantageous.
• Computer skills are desired.
• Hazardous goods knowledge and forklift certification are a plus.
• Good German language skills are beneficial.
