Senior UX/​UI Designer & Front-End Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer & Front-End Developer to join our team remotely. This role is pivotal in transforming legacy desktop tools into modern, web-native experiences that will revolutionize how engineers model, analyze, and optimize complex systems globally. As a Senior UX/UI Designer & Front-End Developer, you will play a crucial role in our strategic transformation, influencing tech stack decisions and mentoring others.

What You'll Do

• Lead the UX vision for next-gen web-based engineering tools, ensuring user-centric evolution across products.
• Translate complex scientific and engineering workflows into intuitive, efficient interfaces.
• Conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and establish design standards.
• Implement high-performance UIs using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Develop reusable component libraries and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in complex software UX/UI design and strong interaction design principles.
• Expertise in modern web development, particularly with React or similar frameworks.
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior designers and developers.
• Familiarity with prototyping tools like Figma and a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
• Experience in technical or enterprise domains is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Electron or hybrid frameworks.
• Knowledge of design systems and complex domain applications.
