Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) remote to join our team at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). In this role, you will lead the strategic planning and management of Information Security (INFOSEC) programs and activities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and safeguarding sensitive information.
What You'll Do
- Serve as an expert in Information Systems Security, guiding and overseeing the development and implementation of INFOSEC programs.
- Lead the planning and execution of security processes to ensure compliance with the Federal Information Systems Security Management Act (FISMA).
- Develop and implement security policies and technical requirements for system design and operations.
- Collaborate with internal ODNI components and Intelligence Community (IC) stakeholders to provide expert direction on security issues.
- Define information security requirements and engineering solutions for new systems, ensuring they meet security standards.
- Represent ODNI at IC-wide INFOSEC forums, advocating for security measures and policies.
- Maintain productive relationships with security colleagues and senior leadership to share information and address security concerns.
- Assess team performance, set goals, and provide feedback to foster professional development.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen residing in the United States.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST 800-37 Risk Management Framework and NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls.
- Minimum of five years of specialized experience in cybersecurity or information security management.
- Strong program management, analytic, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to diverse audiences.
- Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CISM, CASP/SEC+, CISA, CISSP, or CCNA/CCNP.
- Experience with ODNI's information technology infrastructure and security environment.
- Proven track record of improving government efficiency and effectiveness.
