About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team at Dbt Labs, a pioneer in analytics engineering. As part of our Product Documentation team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our company's objectives and enhancing user success.

What You'll Do

• Lead new feature writing for product documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Develop effective documentation plans for new features, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance customer experience.
• Identify and advocate for significant documentation projects, mentoring junior writers in managing their time effectively.
• Troubleshoot ongoing issues and develop content strategies to address overarching documentation challenges.
• Provide insightful editorial feedback during peer reviews, ensuring a user-centric approach in all documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing technical documentation for developer tools.
• Strong understanding of version control and content management systems.
• Ability to plan and execute complex writing projects with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in asynchronous and remote team settings.
• Experience with dbt or data-related projects is preferred.

• Previous experience as a senior member of a documentation team.
