Senior Manager, Test Engineering - Remote Leadership Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Test Engineering to join our dynamic team at Storable. This remote position is pivotal in leading our quality transformation efforts across the engineering organization. As a Senior Manager, you will spearhead the development and operation of enterprise-scale testing platforms that enhance the reliability and performance of our multi-tenant SaaS products.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement the shift-left testing strategy in collaboration with product, platform, SRE, and security teams.
• Build and lead a high-performing team focused on test platforming, ensuring robust frameworks and tooling for functional, integration, performance, and reliability testing.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality and reliability, such as defect escape rates and performance SLOs.
• Design and evolve testing platforms that support API and service-level testing, UI/E2E automation, and performance testing.
• Integrate testing deeply into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quality thresholds and effective test orchestration.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or quality engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in leading test/platform, SDET, SRE, or DevOps teams within a multi-service SaaS environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with hands-on experience in test automation frameworks.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders across engineering, product, and business domains.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in high-growth SaaS companies with 500-1,500 employees.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
• Experience working with global, distributed teams.
