Senior Technical Account Manager - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to join our team at Clerk. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while owning a portfolio of our most strategic accounts. As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will serve as a technical advisor, integration partner, and advocate for our clients, ensuring they have the best experience with our products.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Guide customers through complex integrations, including multi-workspace setups, SSO/SAML configurations, and custom authentication flows.
  • Drive revenue retention and expansion by identifying risks and upsell opportunities.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for Product and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Support to ensure consistent customer experiences.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and onboarding guides.
  • Contribute to the development of the Customer Experience function.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role at a developer tools or SaaS company.
  • Strong understanding of web authentication and identity management protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC, JWTs).
  • Able to read and discuss code with customers across modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js).
  • Proven track record of managing customer accounts and driving retention.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
