About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to coordinate, install, configure, and deploy network, compute, and/or storage capabilities. This Senior Systems Engineer remote position allows you to play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the coordination, installation, configuration, and deployment of network, compute, and/or storage infrastructure, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Participate actively in business audits and lead evaluations of new technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Adhere to and promote agile development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards within the team.
  • Work closely with product managers and team members to deeply understand user stories and author technical stories that support the delivery of valuable solutions.
  • Develop and implement scripting and automation tools for infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions for complex projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Deep expertise in system, network, and/or database administration, with a proven ability to lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of compute and storage infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of server, storage, network, and/or database technologies, particularly Fortinet technologies.
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills, with adeptness at using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proficiency with performance monitoring tools and techniques, including traffic management.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and how infrastructure delivery integrates with the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers in technical skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud network delivery and load-balancing solutions.
