Senior Systems Engineer - Modeling & Simulation

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team remotely. This Senior Systems Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex multi-disciplinary projects related to missile design, performance assessment, and flight testing. As a key member of the Performance Simulation team, you will develop high-fidelity models and simulations that support system evaluations, technology development, and new business initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulations and models used in missile design and performance evaluation.
• Implement modeling solutions and conduct trade studies to evaluate system and subsystem performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to participate in simulation activities aligned with project schedules and technical requirements.
• Provide technical expertise on simulation products and assist in the development of detailed plans.
• Engage with government counterparts as an authority on simulation methodologies.
• Guide team members throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in systems engineering.
• Proven expertise in object-oriented software design and programming in C or C++, as well as proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data evaluation.
• Experience modeling or simulating physical systems and performing system analysis.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and software configuration management tools like Git.
• Strong understanding of physics-based modeling techniques.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. government security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in cybersecurity and defense systems.
• Knowledge of missile technologies and flight testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis.
